I have been involved in quizzing at various levels since 2015. I grew up in Texas where camps would promote quizzing. It was then that I fell in love with quizzing. I thought those quizzers were celebrities! Unfortunately, my church did not have a quiz ministry so I was not able to participate as a quizzer but I still would memorize verses on my own for fun.

I moved to North Carolina in 2006 and in 2015 was able to get involved in quizzing when my church relaunched their teams! We were privileged to go Nationals and my burden for quizzing just grew! After leaving North Carolina I began praying God would open the door for me to be involved in quizzing again.

After jumping in at the district level as a Bible Judge God opened the door for us to start a quizzing ministry at my local church in Apache Junction.  The church had never had a quiz team so it was exciting to be the first! Since then we have seen the ministry grow in great numbers as our children get excited about learning God’s word!

In 2024 I married Josh Rowell who is now my built-in quiz partner! 

I am excited to see what God will do in the Arizona District Bible Quizzing ministry! It is my mission to create an opportunity for every student who wants to quiz to quiz! We have incredible students and I know they are going far!

Nathanael and Veronika Steele have been involved in youth ministry their entire lives, starting with bus ministry and Sunday school. They youth pastored for eight years before transitioning to leading the assimilation ministry at their church. And raising their six children, they began their journey with Bible quizzing in 2013-14 in California. After relocating to Waco, Texas, and then to New River, Arizona, they resumed Bible quizzing in 2021. Passionate about God’s Word (“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”) they are excited to see what God is doing in Arizona through Bible quizzing and are committed to assisting in building a strong and vibrant Bible quiz ministry throughout the Arizona district.
